For our second McLaren x Gulf Oil commercial, we were tasked with identifying a visually striking international location that aligned with the creative brief while staying within budget. After careful consideration, we selected Cape Town, South Africa for its diverse landscapes and production feasibility. With only four core team members traveling from Dubai, we partnered with a local production house to assemble a skilled crew of nearly 50. The production required us to navigate unpredictable weather, local wildlife, and unfamiliar terrain, all of which were managed seamlessly across a five-day shoot, including four days on the road and one in-studio. The final film exceeded regional benchmarks for quality and performance, and the production was proudly supported by Sony MEA and Zeiss.
